Finches

Finches are small to medium-sized passerine birds in the Fringillidae family that include grosbeaks, crossbills, siskins, redpolls, besides small finches. They are characterized by stout conical bills adapted for eating seeds and often have colourful plumage as seen here. They occupy a great range of habitats where they are usually resident and do not migrate.
